Privacy Policy

1. What leaves your device
Your photos and videos never leave your iPhone. There is no server-side media analysis. Your images, their metadata, and your cleanup choices are read and processed entirely on your device.
DETOX does send anonymous usage analytics — which screens you open and which features you use — so we can see where the app is confusing or broken. That is the only category of data that leaves your device, and it never includes your photos, their contents, filenames, or any information that identifies you personally.
2. Your photo library
DETOX requests permission to access your iOS Photo Library strictly to calculate file sizes, identify duplicate photos, and compress videos. Access is granted locally on your device.
- Photo metadata is analyzed using Apple's local Vision framework and neural engine.
- No photo or video content is ever transmitted over the network.
- Deletions are handled through iOS standard PhotoKit APIs, moving cleared items to your iPhone's Recently Deleted album where they remain for 30 days.
3. Third-party services
DETOX uses Google Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage analytics and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. Google processes this data as our service provider; see the Firebase privacy documentation.
DETOX contains no advertising SDKs, no data brokers, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not access your Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and because we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, the app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission.
4. Analytics
Analytics events carry a random identifier generated on first launch, so sessions can be grouped together. It is a random UUID — deliberately not your Advertising Identifier, not your Vendor Identifier, and not derived from your hardware — so it cannot be used to recognise you in any other app. Events also carry your app version, iOS version, device model and locale.
Deleting the app removes the identifier. A fresh install generates a new one with no link to the old.
5. Data Controller & Contact Information
The data controller responsible for the processing of your data is:
