Help with DETOX

We answer every message. Usually within one business day.

Email support@detoxiphone.com. Tell us your iPhone model and iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong. If the app closed unexpectedly, open Settings inside DETOX — the most recent crash is shown there with a Copy full report button. Pasting that in tells us far more than a description can.

Getting my photos back

DETOX never deletes anything on its own, and nothing is removed until you confirm it. When you do confirm, photos go to Recently Deleted in Apple’s Photos app and stay there for 30 days.

To restore them: open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted, select what you want back, and tap Recover. This is Apple’s own safety net, and it works whether or not DETOX is still installed.

After 30 days iOS removes them permanently, and nobody — including us — can retrieve them. We have no copy: your photos are never uploaded.

Subscriptions, trials and cancelling

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so they are managed in your Apple account rather than in the app.

Refunds

Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases; we cannot issue them ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account you bought with.

If something in the app did not work as promised, write to us anyway. Knowing what went wrong is useful to us whatever Apple decides, and we will help you make the case.

I paid, but the app says I have not

Open Settings inside DETOX and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you purchased with — this is the usual cause, particularly on a new device or after a family-sharing change.

If it still does not restore, email us with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.

DETOX cannot see my photos

DETOX needs read and write access, because read-only access cannot delete anything. Check Settings → Apps → DETOX → Photos and choose Full Access.

Limited access lets DETOX see only the photos you individually picked, so it cannot find duplicates across your library or measure what your storage is actually holding.

The scan is slow, or the numbers look wrong

The first scan of a large library takes a few minutes, because every photo is measured rather than estimated. Later launches are near-instant: the results are kept and only new photos are examined.

If your library is set to Optimise iPhone Storage, some originals live in iCloud rather than on the device. DETOX downloads what it needs to work on, which is slower on a poor connection and is why a figure can move while a scan is running.

Privacy

Your photos and videos never leave your iPhone: all analysis is on-device. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, and the purchase terms are in the Terms of Service.
